Alternative Hat

Part of the 2012 Calendar of Patterns.  This funky hat is fun, frivolous and easy to knit. Has a bit of slouch to it, and will be a favorite to wear.

Gauge 20 sts and 30 rows = 4" in garter st.  Needle size US 4 (3.5mm) and 6 (4.0 mm).

Yarn Hamann LUXURY, 100% Superfine Alpaca, working 2 strands or yarn held together throughout -- 3 skeins -- 552 yards.  About 280 yards DK weight yarns can be substituted.
