This supremely feminine skirt is created using hairpin lace and a unique ruffle join technique. Form-fitting, with a cascading bustle filling the back slit, the skirt is worked from the top down with just eight hairpin lace strips.
Seven sizes for actual waist measurements of 26" (28, 30, 33, 36, 40, 44). Length is 27", but can be adjusted by changing the width of the strips. This garment is close fitting and has negative ease; that is, the finished measurement is smaller than the body measurement to allow for the stretch of hairpin lace.
The pattern is written for drapey DK weight yarn. You'll need a hairpin lace loom (also known as a crochet fork), and crochet hook.
