Celine has been described as the winter counterpart to Ella, and like that yarn Celine features a mix of colors, textures and fibers. There are beautiful shaded colorways with shiny and matte highlights. Both the pastels and the jewel tones give a dramatic look perfect for both dressy and casual wear.
- 50g ball - about 153 yards (140m)
- 24% Cotton, 24% Polyester, 21% Viscose, 16% Mohair, 15% Nylon
- 20 st and 29 rows = 4" (10cm) on US 6-7 needles (4mm-4.5mm)
- Hand or machine wash warm, lay flat to dry.
- Women's medium long sleeved plain sweater takes about 400g, 8 skeins.
This yarn is neither stiff nor excessively drapey, so it will be good for most patterns that meet gauge. There are many attractive patterns for this yarn in the two pattern books, Fatto a Mano 224, and Fatto a Mano 227. These will give you some inspiration!
