A Sanquhar Glove pattern
Sanquhar gloves have captivated the Scottish and non-Scottish alike since the late 1800's. Several classic patterns have survived, but Beth Brown-Reinsel has invented this charming pattern for your enjoyment.
The construction of these gloves is always the same, so different sizes are created by using different sized needles and different weights of yarn.
One 50 g ball each of 2 colors of fingering weight yarn (sock yarn) or sport weight yarn will make a pair of gloves. Try Fortissima Socka, Louet Gems fingering weight (or Soft Sea Wool Sport weight for larger sizes).
