Superwash merino by Schoppel Wools
So much FUN! Here's a very colorful and unusual construction for a superwash merino. The repeats are quite long, and change not just in hue, but also saturation. In addition there are sections with marled wraps that produce different amounts of shading overlaying the color. While you can certainly use this yarn to produce lovely striping effects, it will also produce extremely interesting patterning using techniques such as slip stitch, entrelac, domino, and mitred squares.
This yarn can be knit/crocheted at a number of gauges. In plain stockinette it falls somewhere between sport and DK weight--roughly equivalent to a 6ply--so you must knit a gauge swatch to be sure you will be satisfied that the stitch size is compatible with your project.
This yarn is manufactured in Germany, so the quality is first rate. Click on the colors (the ball pictures) to bring up the full palettes of each color so you can really see what the colors look like, and how they progress.
