The super-fast technique of hairpin lace will have you swinging down the street in no time! If you've never tried hairpin lace, you'll find it's both easy and fast. Some basic crochet skills and you're on your way. The fit is adjustable, and the skirt offers a layering of see-through fabric for a rich multi-dimensional effect. Perfect over a color-coordinated chemise or slip.
The pattern is written for drapey worsted weight yarn. You'll need a hairpin lace loom (also known as a crochet fork). The end result is a designer look you will hardly believe you made yourself!
- The skirt is designed to sit at the high hip, about 1.5-2" below the natural waist. The fabric will stretch, so the actual measurement of the top of the skirt is 1.5" smaller than the high hip measurement
- Sized for XS ( S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X)Â to fit high hip circumference of 31.5" (33.5, 35.5, 37.5, 41.5, 43.5")
- Takes about 969 (1032, 1097, 1158, 1224, 1293, 1352) yards of worsted weight drapey yarnÂ
