This yarn is called Air because the colored merino fibers are air-spun around a small core of nylon that is either light or dark depending on the color. The result is a heathery, foamy look in vibrant colors.
- 50g ball is about 137 yards (125m)
- 15 st & 25 rows on US 8-9 needles (5-5.5mm)
- 84% Superfine Merino, 16% nylon core for strength
- Processed for anti-felting in lukewarm water and air drying.
The yarn has a medium halo, which accounts for the lighter weight of garments made from Air. The anti-felting will be effective to reduce pilling. We believe a gentle hand wash and flat drying will extend the life of your finished project.
