Corkscrew Scarf

This scarf is a lot of fun to knit and to wear. It consists of a number of independent sections that are then twisted to create this interesting cork screw effect. It is completed with 2 different sets of fringes: one plain and the other made up of twisted fringes.  The fancy openings allow you to change the look by threading through a silk or woven material. Suitable for beginning knitters.

Gauge 15 sts and 40 rows = 4" in garter stitch.  Gauge is not critical, but you will want to come close.

Yarn Helen Hamann LUXURY, 100% Superfine Alpaca working 2 strands or yarn held together throughout -- 4 balls in the color of your choice

Needle size US 6 or 7 (4-4.5 mm).
