Halo Kimono Jacket
pattern for Jojoland Rhythm
A beautiful kimono is great for showing off the colors of Rhythm against a solid contrast color. This fabulous kimono is knit modularly--you should have experience with this technique before trying this project.
The octagon shapes that look like swirls are not fairisle. They are eight-sided shapes knit with decreases towards the center, and just use stripes to get the pattern. The various triangles and diamonds are added modularly as you go. There are line-by-line instructions for each shape.
The colors of the Rhythm produce the variation over the jacket. Choose a color of Rhythm, and a coordinating solid in worsted weight from any of our worsted weight solids like M8, Pure Merino, Riverstone, or Gems.
One size, finished bust measurement of 50". Takes 13 balls of Rhythm (choose your color first), and about ten 50g balls of a solid (1100 yards) to coordinate with the Rhythm. If you would like us to choose a solid for you, please email and we will be happy to do so.
