Finally! A hemp you can handle! And one that won't fall apart or shed, either. This new yarn isn't nearly as stiff or scratchy as hemp yarn used to be, and it becomes softer as you wash it. Java comes in a big 100g ball containing 219 yards, so it goes a long way. Machine Wash, tumble dry low. 100% hemp, Java is a great choice for home decor projects due to its superior strength and durability. Fast growing and with a small carbon footprint, this natural fiber is easy on the environment. All this, and beautiful colors too!

- 100% hemp fiber
- 4-5 st per inch in stockinette, size 6-9 (4-5.5mm) needles
- Crochet gauge is 14 stitches per 4 inches single crochet, size I-K hook
- Machine Wash, tumble dry low

Java is working up very well. This is the first time I've used hemp and am pleased how it handles. (I also like the faint baling twine scent that comes up every so often.)

Wonderful yarn
The Java Hemp is one of the softest hemp yarns I have felt. It is beautiful. Seems to be more of a DK than a worsted so be sure to check gauge.

Very pleased with this product. The colour is BLACK, not a shade of so-called black, it's excellent! It was back ordered, but, I was given notice at once and when to expect shipment. Greatly appreciated. A little more corse than expected. After washing I think it will soften. Made a stich gauge today, ready to rock n' roll!
