Merino 401 Pure Wool Yarn

We have been waiting for this yarn! This springy yarn is very pleasantly soft, without all the droopy qualities of many current wools, and it will fly off your needles. Merino 401 performs beautifully for any patterning, from the simplest stockinette to the most complex of cables, surface texture stitches, and twisted stitch patterns. Your knitting and crocheting will be more even and attractive than ever. The exceptionally even and close twist of the yarn resists the "growing" that is so common in super-soft yarns.
The colors are vibrant and delicious, a huge palette of 45 shades that will light up your wardrobe. If you enjoy colorwork, Merino 401 is a great choice, for mosaic, stranded or intarsia techniques. Your color pattern will be visually sharp.
Merino 401 is very simply an excellent choice for a merino, and what a value! This Peruvian grown and milled yarn is a standout.
- 100% Extra fine merino wool
- 19-20 st & 24-26 rows over 4" in
- stockinette on US 7-8 needles (4.5-5 mm)
- 15.5 sc & 17 rows sc = 4" with H (5 mm) hook
- 50 gram ball is about 109 yards (100m)
- Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
